A Bit About Me
Who am I?

My Name is Neil, I’m a 50 year old photographer based in neat Whitby on the north Yorkshire coast. Apart from being a photographer, I’m a very keen rock climber and explorer, which is where my passion for photography comes in to my life, I was fortunate to live out in France for 12 years as a professional rock climber, at the time the whole social media was kicking in and our sponsors where demanding content from us, So I bought a camera and started taking it on my adventures. For several years I was taking climbing and wildlife photos, and doing a lot of video, my film work has been showcased around the world on the reel rock tour, my photos took a different direction, being very fond of nature I got into wildlife and in 2016 I was lucky enough to have one of my photos selected for the wildlife photographer of the year award, I didn’t win, but it gave me the confidence to pursue photography over video. I never even thought about weddings until a friend asked me to shoot their wedding for them. I loved every moment of it, it was such a fun day, sharing it with them and documenting it behind the lens, that lasting memory for them and for me, I was hooked, Over a couple of years I started developing my own style of shooting, and the rest is history I guess, Ive been shooting wedding full time for several years now and been lucky enough to be part of so many amazing days, around the country and further afield. My style is very relaxed, very natural using the natural light and surroundings to enhance the photos, I don’t pose anything on the day even on the couple shoot I want you to be a relaxed as possible and have some fun along the way.
